Every year, on September 15th, Engineers'
Day holds special significance as it pays tribute to the birth
anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, an eminent Indian
engineer and statesman. This year, Narayana Schools marked this
important day in a unique and inspiring way by hosting a special
event led by the most influential teachers in a child's life, the
parents.
The event, held at Narayana Schools, brought together a diverse
group of professionals and future engineers. Parents, who themselves
excel in various engineering fields like civil engineering,
mechanical engineering, and software engineering, were invited to
share their knowledge, experiences, and insights with students from
the 8th to the 12th grade.
During the session on Engineers' Day, parents enthusiastically shared
their personal experiences in the field of engineering. They brought
real-life examples to the table, demonstrating the practical
applications of engineering concepts in diverse industries. This
approach helped students grasp the relevance and potential of
engineering in solving real-world problems.
One of the most exciting parts of the event was the interactive Q&A
session. Our students eagerly asked questions to these engineering
experts, seeking guidance on career choices, educational paths, and
the ever-evolving landscape of engineering. It became a platform for
our students to clear their doubts, gain insights, and receive
firsthand knowledge from those who have walked the engineering path.
The session turned out to be incredibly meaningful and informative,
as students gained valuable insights from parents who work in the
engineering field. It was heartening to witness the parents'
willingness to share the experiences and mentor the next
generation of engineers.
Dr. Sindhura Narayana, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions,
emphasized the significance of such sessions and events that
celebrate the engineering profession. She highlighted that
Engineers' Day isn't just about honouring engineers from the past;
it's also about inspiring the engineers of the future. Dr. Sindhura
highlighted the crucial role engineers play in solving society's
challenges and driving technological advancements.
To express gratitude and appreciation, the parents were honoured by
the school's principal on Engineers' Day. As the event concluded,
the room was filled with a sense of purpose and determination. The
students left with a renewed enthusiasm for the world of
engineering, inspired by the experiences and wisdom shared by the
parents. Insightful sessions like this at Narayana Schools are a
testament to our commitment to nurturing the future of tomorrow,
ensuring that our students are well-equipped to meet the challenges
of the ever-evolving world of technology and innovation.
